Established in 1976, Sanjivini is a registered non-profit voluntary organization that has been addressing the mental health needs of the community for over four decades.

Our roots go back to a group of committed individuals who set up this organization, recognizing that a patient ear and a supportive environment can help one find the strength they need to overcome the complications in their life. At Sanjivini, we believe that mental health is an integral part of our overall well being, both, as people and as a society. Annually, on an average over 2000 people use our services.

We are doing our bit to get more people talking to us, and about mental health.

WHO
ARE
WE?

WHY JOIN US?

What Sanjivini is today, is a result of one of our core philosophies - Volunteerism. More than what we give, in the form of volunteering, we get back through self-growth, empathy and strengthened personal relationships.

We are always on the lookout for committed individuals who would like to volunteer a helping hand towards our cause and make mental health accessible to all.

the handbook
"Caring for caregivers"

Listening to the needs and concerns of caregivers is a fundamental part of most of the work we do at Sanjivini. We hear how difficult it is to find information relevant to the issues caregivers face every day. They often tell us that they feel alone and are unsure where to turn. Sanjivini Society for Mental Health has launched a Caregiver handbook for caregivers on Mental health day 2019.

The caregiver handbook was made possible by valuable feedback from our caregivers, volunteers, supervisors and our staff, who all have experience working with the caregivers. The handbook is filled with symptoms, tips and resources intended to support the caregivers. We hope this resource will enhance the rewarding aspects of caregiving by helping the caregivers to manage some of its challenges and demands. This handbook will become a set and organized source of information and knowledge for the caregivers. It will motivate them to take measures on self-care before they also escalate in psychological or physical illness.
